Digital storytelling and arts: How to create and engage with digital learning

In form of creative expression, digital storytelling and arts have embraced the pivotal role of digital media and technologies in depicting stories and artistic works. They are applicable to various fields, such as education, marketing, activism, entertainment, and personal development.

This workshop is designed for anyone who wants to learn how to use digital tools and techniques to record, edit, and produce engaging stories based on interviews, photos, audio, video, and other media. You will have the opportunity to practice your skills and create your own digital story or artwork using a variety of media and software. Specifically, you will learn how to:

• Plan and conduct effective oral history interviews with family members, friends, or community members
• Use free or low-cost software and apps to record, edit, and enhance your audio and video files
• Incorporate music, sound effects, narration, and other elements into creating a compelling story
• Publish and share your digital stories online or offline
• By the end of this workshop, you will have a better understanding of digital storytelling and arts, and how they can enrich your digital learning experience.

The workshop is open to all PhD students, Early Career Researchers (ECRs), academia and practitioners in the cultural heritage, creative and tourism sectors. Curiosity, creativity and willingness to learn are more than welcome.
